I will most likely be down for Friday. I'd much rather go during the week. Last year I went on Saturday and it was PACKED, had to wait online to sit on anything.

I went to the bike show at the beginning of the summer...thats when i decided i was gettin a bike. Itwas pretty sweet. I go to the car show at the Javits center every year...this was the first year I went to the bike show...but I wouldn't be able to go :(

I went down there 2 years ago with a big group. we had a coach bus.

I had a great time for the first 4 hours. they even had a big ramp where this guy was jumping off with a fitty.


The rest of the day i wanted to kill myself though. i had looked at everything twice and it was 2 oclock. the bus didnt head back until 6.

Just an idea for you guys.....I usually head to the Jersey side and take the ferry over. Once in NYC you can walk to the show, only like a 2 block walk. Catch cabs around the city for some food or what not then head back to NJ via ferry and miss all the NYC traffic and retarded parking prices.

This is obviously for the people who are not taking the train down.

ok this should answer some questions and I must propose some as well.
For starters: those of you taking the train, Grand Central lets you out on 42nd Street and Park Avenue. Stay underground. In GC there are subway stations take the S which is the shuttle to Times square. At that stop, STAY underground. Follow the signs and keep following the signs underground towards A,C,E BLUE LINE. Walk a long ass way underground, and take the Blue line downtown for one stop. Get off at the "34th street/Penn station" stop. Walk towards the west side(11th Ave) about 3 blocks. 34th street and 11th Ave is where you want to end up. This method entails a lot of walking, and costs 2 dollars for the subway.
Alternative: When you get out of Grand Central, go above ground, throw out ya leg, catch a cab and say Javitz Center. Much easier, much less walking, will cost anywhere between 5 and 10 bucks.

Now for my questions: What are everyone’s intentions once you get there?
So lets start with Friday since it seems like more people are going then. Are you Friday-Go-ers just going to the show? Do you plan on getting dinner? Do you plan on hitting a bar or doing the night scene? Do you plan on renting a cheap motel and picking up nameless prostitutes? Let me know what’s going on that way I can refer us to nice inexpensive places that will please, if possible, most of the people going.

It is around an hour drive down and hte train leave at 12. I do not want to get there for 12, thats when the train leaves.....

Also, please please please look at the weather it is going to be COLD. We have 2 options, one is to get cabs(what i prefer) or we can walk it and take the subway. I am all for the cab myself. Split between 4 people you are probably taking 8-12 bucks each(bring cash)

Hey you are not the only person that has spent time in the city, it is always windy there due to the closeness of the buildings and the height. Thats what i always noticed, even brooklyn was noticiable, but the city is far more..
