:mad:1st. of all, im O.K. ...except for my back..........it's tweaked:(.
The Sv however got runover from behind by a fuckin idiot @ a stop sign, & like Io-Bot i ended up on his hood, & then the ground in ft. of the car. I FIRMLY believe that had i NOT been wearing my ICON back proctector, i wouldn't be here typing this right now. Anyway, the bikes not too bad at all, my Exhaust is fucked, subframe tweaked, levers snapped, etc: little stuff.
I have a bunch of spares from years of ownership though,
soo i can repair it.
I didn't go in the ambulance.........i know i shoulda, but im an idiot, & i absolutly DESPISE hospitals.
I'll be Making an app. w/ a back specilast on Mon.
Think i have a case?
the police wrote the kid a ticket,& he has insurance.
This happened at the end of MY OWN goddamm street.:jerkit:

Glad you are okay. The bike is repairable/replaceable, you are not. You should have a solid case against him, so his insurance shouldn't argue about any payments.

Jesus fucking christ Bruce.

Get to a doctor, don't mess around with your back, you should've gone to the hospital.

Don't start fixing the bike until you have it looked at professionally, that's why the kid has insurance, get yourself and your bike fixed on his ins. company's dime. If you need anything, let me know.

Pestilence

It's covered by his insurance company, that's why we have to have it.

Sorry to hear that you're banged up Bruce. I'm still kinda sore in some spots too. I gotta say though. Manchester Hospital treated me pretty well. I thought for sure I would get the "Dumb Biker" treatment. But they all asked if I had gear on and once they knew it was not my fault, that I was the one that got hit they were all very nice to me.

08-11-2008, 11:48 AM
Damn Bruce, glad you're relatively OK! Go get a second opinion though for sure...what hopsital did you go to initially? Maybe the 2nd opinion should just be from a specialist...

Sucks that the two-wheeled skittle might be out of commission, but you definitely deserve to move into the world of fuel injection!
