Hey I have had this reciever for along time and has always served me well. The two front channel are partially blown(randomly crackles really loud) i have tried different speakers and wire and still the same thing. I gave it to Circuit CIty 6 months or so ago and they said it was fine, its not.

So if you are good with electrical repair this is a good reciever for you.. Other then the front channel i have never had any other problems with this. If you want it and can fix it please let me know. I am holding onto it for 1 more week and then its going in the dumpster.

Thanks

More Information
This premium A/V machine offers the same high build quality as the TX-DS777, as well as many identical cutting-edge technologies and high-performance features, such as high-current, low-impedance power amplifiers, Wide Range Amplifier Technology, IntelliVolume and a backlit learning remote. But it aims to please those with less power needs, whose spouses are reluctant to untie the purse strings far enough to get the advantages the full THX-Select enhancement package provides. Not to worry, though. With Cinema Re-EQ, complex circuitry licensed by Lucasfilm, and a beefy 115 watts x 5 of ultra-wide bandwidth power into 6 ohms, the only domestic discord you'll have is deciding which DTS-encoded DVD movie to watch. This receiver features MPEG decoding for full compatibility with MPEG-encoded software and broadcasts. 96 kHZ/24-bit DAC high-resolution digital conversion circuitry not only supports the upcoming DVD-Audio and Super Audio CD audio platforms, its faster and higher-rate conversion can benefit all of

It does not do High Def, it has composite(not component) and S Video on the back(if you use S-Video everything has to be S-Video, there is no up convert)

I was gonna offer that Scott could bring it to Rookies and I could bring it back down and drop it at the shop Darren, but I seem to have been beaten to the punch. Let me know if you end up needing me to do that.

Hell, that would save me a trip, I don't really need to drive to Wallyworld to order the sprocket anyway--so yeah, that would be cool. Besides, I'm absolutely f'ed this week for time. I got like 20 installs to do :crybaby: .
