Mike,
I am going to be at the 4th in NJ (last minute arrangement) and if it is wet I will want to put some rains on. I dont know if it is too late to order anything and get it in time so I am curious if you have rains "in stock" as it were. Also I will be arriving at the track sometime monday night, will there be time to mount these?

I know Mike has Rains in stock and will be bringing a few sets down to NJ with him. Best thing to do would be put in an order. If the weather turns to the ducks you can bet every one will be going looking for a set of rains.

We will have a limited number of rains with us in New Jersey. We should have access to even more than we're bringing with us, but of course, if you know you want a set with your name on them, it's best to go to www.goMTAG.com (http://www.goMTAG.com) and pre-order them.
So far, I've gotten a couple inquiries about rains, so if it does rain(let's hope it doesn't!) I tend to think we'll see a pretty high demand for them.
As for mounting Monday night, I don't have a fixed time that I'll be "open" until, but I'm staying at the track, so if you need tires mounted...and if Gino stays away from me with the Tequila...I'll get you taken care of. :D

Bill, I will go ahead and order 60 Pirelli wets...and that will ensure it'll be bright and sunny.

good stuff Jay....
Head bearing take 30-40 min to replace. I hope that is not you MAIN excuse????
Clip on's off take off
trip top nut off.
top Trip off.
Trip lock nut off
trip nut off
drop the entire trip clamp off with the forks and wheel.
clean
put in new bearings and button up.
You will just need something (Blocks) under the engine to get the front end high enough for the trip and forks to clear the frame.

Actually, that IS my main reason....Don't you have to press in the races err something like that?

As Gino said... nothing we can get done at the track over a couple of beers...errrr... couple of glasses of wine.

the races get tapped out with a drift and tapped back in with the old race. I just did it last weekend on my SV. Remember if you have the GSXR forks you will need a different upper bearing from Zoran

Are you sure Mike? On the goballsout website, the bearings are the same for 03-08 SV's, and 98-08 GSXR's. On Zoran's website, they only show different upper bearings for the 1st gens....I'd hate to order the wrong parts...

First off...looks like something we can do Sunday/Monday night.
Second...that TL isn't too pretty to at least do a few laps on!

Why are we pulling races?
Are these just roller bearings we are talking about?
or
Are you looking to convert over to a needle bearing type?

I was going to convert to needles, but if it's easier to just put the others on without pulling races, I'm down with that....
