ohlins/penske are like 10X better than the 636 shock, it still does not have the correct valveing and such. I tried the GSXR shock approach on mine and it was Ok but there is no substitute for the aftermarket shock

I would love to but its not worth the money. Nor do i have that much.

i'm not arguing with you, but sometimes it is not an option and quite honestly..not necessary. A newer rider will not notice a $700 difference between the 2. Once that rider gets some expereience witht the 636 shock, then you move up to a penske. I just bought a penske for my bike, but i ran that 636 shock for over a year and it was an improvement over the stock shock. I dont care what the numbers say, it was an upgrade. And I spend $65 plus shipping....a penske is more then 10X's more expensive then that....

I have not ridden it yet i have to get a differnt battery since the resivour cuts into the battery holder. So next thats tonighst job. I just have to get it it set the sag right. For got how to do that one.
