2011 Mustang GT 5.0 problems

Yes i know i can google but i'm drowning at work and this well get me kicked off.

Any of you mustang guys, or car guys, know if there have been issues with the ~2011 model year GT 5.0s prematurely blowing motors?

Family friend just blew his with 75k on it. looking for any info on known problems/ causes. wants ammunition when he tried to get it covered.

Just texted my buddy who owns the Cobra shop down in North Haven, he's well versed on those motors (lots of his clients are now getting them in his cars) I'll let you know what I hear back

trying to get this info now. All i got from my dad was "Jeff's motor is blown. check the internet to see if this is a known problem"

check the NHTSA for reports of problems for that year. it's your best source to refute the dealer claim if they say otherwise. I haven't heard much negative on the coyote motor.. it's a 7 year old car likely beaten on lol.

It’s probably for the best. Much less likely to run someone over leaving a car show this way.

direct response from car owner:

It tics and is running for now. not sure where the metal shavings are coming from but the oil filter was loaded with them."
