saved for the long story, if I get around to writing it...

Saturday day Race 2 - Amateur GTL - had to start eighth on second row as I lost my fourth place points position due to no racing the previous round. Didn't know it at the time, but I was tired. I was fairly conservative the entire race due too my tiredness and did not really push to my full potential. This is OK news as I did at least run consistently, albeit slower than I hoped. Ended up finishing right where I started in eighth. Felt like the others had one up on me due to my lost weekend. Need to regroup and came back strong next weekend.

Saturday Race 7 - Amateur Lightweight Grand Prix - Nothing spectacular here except the finish. Lost 10th place by 2/1000 of a second to my friend Mike. Had been chasing him down and trying to pass him for the previous two or three laps. Finally got him in turn 11 on the last lap and figured he got jammed up enough in 12 that I had clear sailing. Next thing I see is him just coming by at the finish line and wishing my transponder was installed a few inches further forward.

Saturday Race 9 - Amateur Ultralight Superbike - Finally felt a little more on point in this race. Had a decent start for the beginning and also for the restart after the first lap red flag. Thought i was running really well and the fastest all weekend. Unfortunately, lap times don't lie and while I was running OK, it was not as fast as I hoped, but at least they were consistent.

Sunday Race 6 - Amateur Lightweight Superbike - Picked up this race at the needling of my buddy and also hoping I was would get my mojo back. Well, I was still really tired and not on point, so the race was little more than a fast practice session. Not so bad as I got some helpful tips from Steve Heider the night before for turn 3 and went to work. Definitely need to fine tune, but seems like it should help in the long run!

Overall the weekend was not bad in that I had consistency which I was looking for. Need to come back next weekend not so tired and maybe with some gym time to back me up. I had missed out on the gym the past month and half due to a knee injury. I really feel like this hampered my efforts this weekend and hope to be able to get back to exercising soon.
