Default any rules regarding cameras?

Can I run a video camera on the trackbike? Any concerns as far as Tech goes?

you don't have to have it on prior to tech. But if you want to get everything mounted now, just make sure its secure.

Uh, I should probably not be weighing in on this as I've never done a track day. But when I was reading up on it I remember seeing a question about cameras on the ttd site. I believe the mounts have to be premanently attached, ie: screwed on, not suction cups. And I also thought it had to be on the bike for inspection... but again, check me on that

well if we were in the tonys trackday forum or talking about a TTD day i would suggest he read the tonys track day website for more insight.

Nothing in the LRRS rulebooks....

Just secure it in a way that there's absolutely no way that it can end up on the track.... a screw, a bolt, some safety wire... something that's not going to let go unless you make it let go... even in a crash.

What about riders that use helmet-mounted cameras? Those can't be secured.

They're safety wired around their necks, you just don't look close enough to see it.

My plan was a direct bolt through the fairing with an additional wire lanyard for safety. As long as no one is going to yell at me for it, thats what I will do.

So, when they become separated from their bikes, and the camera becomes snagged on the bike or something else, it's only their head that comes off, as opposed to the camera.
