The trigger pull is super long (pretty much the main complaint about it) but otherwise its great. For the money paid its amazing.

its no comparison to my P229 for fit and finish but its still pretty nice.
Taurus makes great quality firearms. And are probably the most well rounded firemars manufacturer of the bunch. The fit and finish sucks, but they have a reasonable priced, well made, gun for everyone.

Yes I agree, but you know how some people can be elitists. This gun is pretty sweet and Im happy with it.

Handguns and rifles are utilitarian... Shotguns are sexy.

They are solidly built, and function very well. Taurus makes a very reliable product. But they aren't pretty, or cosmetically attractive.

...bitch, you knew what I meant.

Wondering if I got ripped off. I traded in a 1911 I never shot cause it didn't jive with anything I want to do, which is just shoot at the range and keep it for home defense. I picked up a Glock 19 and I didn't realize it was a Gen 3. Retail was 459 and I paid a little over 150$ after trade in. I came home and looked the serial number up and it says it's from 1992 The gun is brand new, there's no question there. Just the serial number and date show it as a 92. WTF? How is that thing still new and unsold after 25 years.

Glocks are very hard to get info about date codes.
If it was a 1992 it would be a gen 2, And being 92 it's a pre ban and worth a lot more then 450$.
Chances are you just have the wrong date.

Edit- gen 3 started in 1998.

Many diff sites give you conflicting dates for the same serial number.

Take 2 diff glock models, let's say 17 and 19. They can both have similar serial number but yet be 20 years apart. The model makes a difference, so if your looking up info on the wrong model it also makes a difference.

Thanks Eric. It's a gen 3 going by the design features but the serial number came up at April of 92 on two different sites. I also figured that the 92 couldn't be right because of the ban. I guess honestly it doesn't matter because at the end of the day I bought it because it's comfortable in my hands so its not a huge deal.
