Is it still a "mid-life" crisis at age 40?

Although moneys no object when it comes to him Im out about $5k at the moment. I had procrastinated and ment to do pet insurance for so long. Puts the chevelle on pause for a lil while too. Like I said jokingly so someone one day idc if I was flat broke, Id give handies at a truck stop for $10 if I had to just so I could buy him his Sunday nuggets and ice cream
I've always been on the fence with the pet insurance stuff. would it have covered an accident like this.

Yes however you still have to pay 100% upfront to the vet then submit the bill to the company for coverage and youd still have to pay a $500-1000 deductible. In this case it certainly would have been benifical. I looked at one of those creditcare pamphlet while I was waiting... what a fucking rip off 29.99+%

I will be doing the insurance after this though

Sorry to hear about the pup! Insurance is totally worth it even with the deductible. We've had a few years where we saved a couple Gs because Jamie did something dumb and insurance saved our ass.

Check out Nationwide (petinsurance.com). They've had great prices and low deductibles for us.

Wished we got pet insurance many years ago. Dog now has preexisting condition and has cost me a pretty penny.

Just did the math based on typical quotes I got. Most only cover up to 90% of the bil

((5000*.9)-500) - (55*24)= $2680 I would have theroreticly saved

Am I a Jew for thinking $50+ a month is crazy with a $500 deductible

Fun thing I just learned. You can buy stamps on amazon. Super helpful when you have to mail a check to pay your electric bill.

No. People either love it or hate it.

We were quoted around $50 per month per dog. Izzy had acl surgery for roughly 2 years of what our premium would of been.

I agree it can save you money long term. Especially if it covers preventative care. But really it seems like a loan you may never get back. I’d rather sock that away to my nest egg.

Sorry to hear about the pup. Don’t feel bad. Izzy tore her knee up when I told her to chase a deer. shit happens.
