There’s probably a body in there. Did he check for that?

A tic would usually indicate a valve
The main question you have to ask is. 75k on a 5.0. Chances are they were some pretty rough miles. You don’t buy a car like that to baby it. Number #1 reason I didn’t buy a hellcat didn’t want to buy brand new and every ones with 3k on them. Do you really think those 3k were nice gentle miles

unless he was religious about servicing it at the dealer or has receipts and records for all his own work, with 75k its well out of warranty. plus like everyone said above, those prob were not the easiest miles. with that being said:
1. does he have an extended warranty?

Recently took a 15 hellcat in trade, with 5000 miles on it. Yes, it needed rear tires... as it should.

got a lot of info from Eric's friend with the mustang shop and passed it along.

This guy has owned it since new, bought it as a weekend car, he's in his ~50s and i've never seen him beat on it. that obviously doesn't mean he didn't.

Just spoke to my Uncle who works at Crest Lincoln, who's a lifelong Ford guy. Apparently those motors are all roller valvetrain, cams, rockers etc. They're very picky when it comes to maintenance. He stressed the use of regular LOF's with a factory filter, correct oil viscosity and to not switch between oil brands. That being said as Aaron stated "valves" is pretty accurate. More like the valvetrain itself is worn. If he needs someone to look at it further/ repair it lmk.. Good luck.
