Default Palmer this weekend... need a bike hauled

Anyone got space on their trailer to take an extra bike up to Palmer this weekend?

A certain luminary may be interested in swapping his Street Triple for my GSX-R and he wants to ride it. I have physical room on my trailer but I drive a Honda Fit and I don't think it can handle the load.

I'm in southwestern CT.

I can bring it Monday, but 2 bikes on my shitty 4x8 behind my Mazda 6 would be pretty sketchy, so I’ll just leave my CBR at home and ride your GSXR - deal?

Thanks but I think I'll pass. Pretty sure I'll be able to manage it one way or another.

The potential issue is that I drive a Honda Fit and have to transport two bikes.

Going to go for it. This car may be modest, but what it can do is amazing.

With two bikes, a small trailer and gear you should only be at about 1500 pounds total load. You car has a class one hitch most likely so I bet it can handle 2000 pounds for reasonable distances. Just keep the speed down on the highway and watch the temp gage. I bet you will be fine.

You'll be fine. I've seen Heidercopter tow three bikes with a Chevy Cobalt down to NJMP from Wooosstahh. Did I mention he had shitty brakes and a clapped out front end? He was fine.

We know he rode an EX500, how'd the car fare?
