The other day a recruiter contacted me for a contract position at one of the larger local companies. I'm not particularly interested in a contract position but figured I would let it play out to see how far I get within the process. Recruiter contacts me this morning asking for managerial references as the hiring manager wants the recruiter to further vet out applicants with their references prior to even speaking with anyone in 1st round. Told them to get lost if they think I would provide references that would be contact prior to even speaking to the hiring manager.

I don’t blame you

I won’t provide references unless it’s after an interview especially since they always want non related supervisor references smh lol

Been going since April still coming up short although I have my fingers crossed on one government job I was perfectly qualified for in Miami

Fortunately the body shop gig has been keeping me entertained in the meantime
