Civil case, lower bar of evidence. Recoup loss value that way. No need to wait for the PD to act, you've got evidence, file the paperwork and serve the bastard and the bike may reappear "magically." If dipshit plays dumb, he'll get stuck with a court ordered bill.

That's without a lawyer I assume? For a $3k bike, may not be worth the time, hassle, and possible retaliation since they know where he lives. Especially when insurance will just payout.

Normally I would say that since the cops went there they know he has it and won't just let it go at that. But I've been dumbfounded by this entire thread.
