If i store the bike i use it. I pre-mix the fuel for lawn equipment with it as well. I've never had a bad fuel system related issue.

i've never used it in my fuel injected bikes over the winter, or even my lawn mower or snow blower which are carb'd. they all seem to work year after year, without much fuss

That's a smart idea that I'm going to put to use with the snowblower and lawnmower.

Frequent conversation when I was in the power equipment business:

Customer: My "X" won't run off choke.

Me: Carb needs cleaning.

Customer: But you just did that "X" months ago.

Me: It's caused by old fuel.

Customer: But I always run it dry after each use.

Me: And how old is the fuel sitting in the 5 gallon gas can in your garage?

Customer: (hopefully, and usually). Ohhhhh... Yea, I filled that can 4 months ago.

Moral of the story: pour the suggested amount of whatever stabilizer you use into the empty gas can before you go to the gas station to fill it up. If your fuel is always stabilized, and fresh, you'll almost never have a problem.

Makes sense. I never let gas sit anyway, anything left over goes into the truck.

Like above, I treat every can as I buy it, that way it is used in the straight gas units and already done for my premix.

I add it in the last few tanks of the season so it makes it way throught the system. Better safe than sorry?

Never thought of pre mixing it.
But have used it in last 3 bikes for winter storage.

This is my first year with small power equipment and I try to run those dry.

Let's be serious. If it has an engine, sooner or later, you're going to spectacularly fuck it up.
