Mount Snow, Okemo and Killington are all within 3 hours of manchester. Killington being the farthest and quite close to 3 hours.

If there are any boarders coming who like parks, Mount snow has one of the largest in the north east, it's basically an entire "Slope" of the mountain.

TL/DR: if anyone is snowboarding, go to mount snow on a weekday.

Killington is fine for skiing if you wanna go where everyone else is going (which I’d rather not)...but sucks balls for snowboarding. Too many leg burning and ultimately run costing long traverses on one edge to get anywhere, too many fruit booted two plankers (LOL) doing their little hula dance going 15mph everywhere on the trail like damn rush hour stop and go traffic, and too many people in general on the slopes because killington actually has TOO MUCH lift capacity...sure, the lift lines usually aren’t horrible, but you can’t ride the way you’d like to back down the hill, because it’d look like rugby on snow, with how many people you’d be sonny bono-ing into the trees, cutting off, or just plain mowing down. I’m not a maniac snowboarder, I’m just saying: on a weekend at killington, you will be avoiding others with almost every turn you make, and that blows. On a weekday at My Snow or Stratton, I probably won’t have to avoid anyone else the whole day, not counting hijinx with riding buddies.

Mount Snow or Stratton...both significantly closer, slightly cheaper, much more snowboard friendly. Okemo is cool, almost as far as killington though.

The key to ANY southern Vermont resort is to go any day besides weekends or vacation weeks, preferably after a good dump of snow or a couple weeks of ideal snowmaking conditions.

What do they do? Not board/ski but park, woods, groomers.

What’s their skill level?

Mid week? Or weekend?

Apres important?

Then go anywhere. Avoid snow on the weekends. Everywhere else can move enough people regardless.

Amy and I average 10-15 day trips a year. Favorite for us is Killington and we never leave the woods.
