This was a pretty entertaining read.

Interesting point in the comments about traction in the wet.

Its all incremental changes. The guy dragging elbow on the Ducati 916 when the bike released (1993?) was on Dunlop D204 I think.

Nobody gave a shit about wet weather performance back then, the market has drastically shifted so now it's old dudes commuting that drive the tire market now, back then it was all 20-somethings buying bikes.
