Default Free - light switches

I just upgraded all the light switches at the house.

~40-50 switches, 2 ways and 3 ways, and covers.

All in working condition.

Those can be picked up in Glastonbury or East Hartford

Not Ching but I just did the same. Wife wanted decora style. They’re the 1” wide rocker style and bright white.

Ching, I gave mine to a coworker who is building his kid a cockpit from an airplane in his room. I’ll see if he needs more.

I can't stand "flipping the switch" so I did the same as Chris and changed them all to white decora style.

Eh I don't like those flat ones, even worse is the transverse little ones with the dual sliders for dim/fan speed. Worst switch ever made. Honestly what I want to do is swap a few to the motion type. Walk in the room and the light is on a timer. Not every room but there's a few that would benefit.

I did this in Amys closet, my wood shop and the garage. Itís much better than forgetting to turn lights on and off. Be warned though, florecent tubes typically do not play well with them.

I did this with the bathrooms. It's great for stumbling in at night.

LEDs baby.

You can get T8 LED tubes for like $5 now.

But you're right... turning fluorescents on and off a bunch of times kills their life.

Why in the hell would you want the bathroom lights to turn on in the middle of the night; doesn't that wake you up? Do you not know where your toilet is?
