There is definitely enough riders on here , I am reading some say street is boring...... MORE PLANED RIDES AND ADVENTURES IS WHAT THIS BUNCH NEEDS ...... I have gone on average every other weekend this past season to some where NH , Maine , Catskills , NY ..... This past yr I have done it either by myself or my Girl absolutely loves to be on the bike with me . Any one out there that has a girl or wife that loves to ride ? ? I have a cheaper but new two up trailer can carry one more . Let’s start plotting and DO SOME ADVENTURE RIDES ! ! ! !

I am hearing about this West Virginia ride and I am seriously contemplating it but I would like to meet a few of you guys first , me being new to this site and all

Bill, Half the fun of these trips is the social aspect.. it’s a motorcycle vacation, ride during the day and chill around the camp fire at night.

The 3 Gap trips I went on with these guys were the 3 best vacations I ever had.

I would seriously consider driving back across the country to make this trip because that’s how much fun they are.

Absolutely ! ! ! I am more then sure it will be a good time ! I used to have 2 other bikes that would come on adventures with me but now a days they are sounding like a lot of the stuff I am reading on here about how boring it is to ride street , or they have kids , or they are just simply don’t want to ride anymore .

Riding has always been number one in my life ALWAYS ! ! ! I have never gotten tired of it ,The only place I want to be is in the he wind on the bike or hanging out with friends , dinner and talking about where we are riding to the next day .

I couldn't give you specifics, but WV is big. If you want to be able to just ride into the trails(without having to trailer, load/unload, etc), you'll want to stay in one of the towns that has a trailhead.

We stayed very close to the NRG Bridge when we did our Moto mecca trip. Unfortunately this was during the rainy portion of the trip so we didn;t do much exploring of the area.

We stayed near Summersville Lake, which if it was nice out, would have been awesome for swimming, cliff jumping, rental kayaks etc. Pretty sure i used this site for cabins.

http://westvirginiacabins.com/

a quick map search says these cabins are no where near any of the Hatfield trail heads.

I don't think it'd be that big of a deal if we have to trailer our bikes to a trailhead, I just don't wanna drive two hours to do it

I'm ALMOST positive that's the one we stayed in. House was ok. Dated, but everyone got a bed. There aren't any restaurants within walking distance, but full kitchen allowed for grocery shopping and making our own food. Hot tub is a bonus.

Pending number of people coming with trucks and trailers, parking might be limited. It's a dirt/gravel shared driveway.
