We all used to do it years ago... We used to hit up every bike night, be out every wednesday night hitting multiple locations, making and posting videos and pictures with the site logo on them. We passed out fliers, cards, ran contests, sponsored huge get togethers. And then life got in the way.

There is still some activity here, but I don't think it will ever be what it used to be; if we continue to compare to that, it will never measure up.

Facebook is as much to blame for the lessening of forum use as getting older, moving, kids, etc. When BoRn first started, it was how I met and kept in touch with other motorcyclists. PMs were the only way to reach people unless you happened to have grabbed their number out on a ride, because not everyone used FB or *gasp* MySpace.

Now, there are countless FB groups, an absurdly high percentage of the population uses Facebook, and it has replaced a lot of the communication functions we used to use the forum for.

That said, I still think BoRn serves a function for its members. It may not be the be-all-end-all motorcycling hub it once was, but I think it still has value.

And, no. No vests!

I've met multiple people and friends here. We've all had multiple awesome rides, parties, bike nights and even tech type gatherings because of here. There are still rides and events posted and some do attend, alot fewer than 5 or even 7 yrs ago when i joined but there is still stuff going on because of here just the same. I belong to a couple other forums but this one is my favorite fwiw..

Nobody said it had to be at your house.
