Default Supplementation

Alright guys/gals post up what you're using for supplements, I'm always trying something new so curious to see what you all use and like. Below is my current arsenal that has been working great for me, I also use a mens multi-vitamin and fish oil (both not pictured). Breakdown of the items pictured below in layman's terms are:

-Hemavol: Non-stimulant pre-workout for pump. Helps to aid in adding blood flow, oxygen and nutrients to muscles. I use this for each lifting day minus leg day.
-Jack3d Advance: Stimulant pre-workout, I add this to Hemavol for an energy boost.
-MusclePharm Creatine: Helps with strength and lean muscle mass
-Xtend: Non-carb version of BCAA's(branched chain amino acids), supports lean muscle mass and recovery
-Xtend Endurance: Same as previous with just the added carbs, I use it for leg day and any activity where I'm doing something more physical than the average gym session.
-ON Gold Whey protein: I use this for pre and post workout protein. Quick absorbing and I like variety so I have 4 flavors
-Dymatize Casein protein: I solely use this for a bedtime shake. Its a lot thicker than Whey and coats your stomach so your basically getting fed as you sleep.
-Black Wall: Essentially a fat burner
-Arthrolyze: I use this for my joints and tendons, I'm old and shit hurts now a days :-)

eat the way your suppose to and all u need is ur casein/protein mix, bcaa, and a multi vitamin the rest of that stuff just swells u and after a while u will loose everything u gained off of it. oh and forgot a complex carb befor your workout as a pre workout instead of all that sugary caffein crap

Uh yeah, that's completely inaccurate but thanks for trying to add some input. I've been doing this for going on 18 years now and I have yet to be "swollen" (in a bad way) and I have yet to lose my gains. Its all about educating yourself and seeing what does what as well as what works for you. The pre-workouts above have zero sugar, the intra workout that has the carbs I only use for extended workouts/physical activity so thats a moot point besides the fact that it is actually a long and short acting carb. I have not mentioned my actual diet as thats not the intention of the thread, I can assure you my diet is pretty well set for me and my goals.

Don't mind him Eric; since he stopped trolling regularly he only comes here to post stuff for sale at the pawn shop he works at.

That being said, I don't think I have as many different types of FOOD in my house as you have supplements.

I'm not huge into supplements, but I'd recommend you check out ON's Hydro-WHEY for post-workouts, which is faster to absorb and has about 1/10 of the cholesterol. It comes at an added price, of course, but it's not too bad on Amazon. All the same flavors as Gold, but tastes better IMO, and doesn't clump as much.

I was told Gold is better for straight calories/meal supplementation and Hydro is better for post-workout. Who knows though...maybe it was just the GNC guy upselling me more expensive product.

Interesting thread. I only use ON Egg Protein and was curious what else I could take to see more gains. Subscribed.

What he told you is pretty spot on, Hydro is pretty much the fastest absorbing whey out there and great for post workout. Main reason why I haven't grabbed it yet is the price. the gold has suited me well and for me its actually almost too thin that I started to put it in the blender to get it a little more shake like. Never knew about the cholesterol aspect of it so good to know if I should ever start to get high cholesterol.

Whey is great during the day and Casein for bedtime, as long as they dont bother your stomach i would switch to those 2 as staples instead of the egg or at least try it out and see how it suits you. If you go to Vitamin Shoppe you can try things out and return them if you dont like them as FYI, i think you can't use more than half the product btw in order to return
