Wow, what a fuck up. Saw on FB people took days off, some couldnt get hotel refunds as they were different hotels, others already there or enroute. What a fuck up... and LRRS didnt finalize the contract so F1 not to blame?

Did RSP guys end up doing anything?

From what I heard, the guy at NHMS who was supposed to handle it quit, and leading into his last day basically said "fuck it." Didn't sign the contact, didn't get F1 paid, ignored their phone calls, shit like that.

Jodie and I were already there and needed to go to Maine Sunday, so we stayed up there. Went and hung out with some of the ECK guys at Dave & Busters for a bit.

although I missed Kurtz and Jodie by like 5 minutes because we cancelled our hotel room and didn't want to stick around too late.

I hope they can book something soon, even if its just the usual spot in Nashua. This would have been my first banquet.

Damn. That's some pretty fucked up shit. I wonder if they can go after the employee for that?

Not if its a fuck up on the LRRS staffs part who didnt finalize the contract. Just from reading some of the comments it and having gone myself to a few of these (begrudgingly) this is a shit show. How the fuck do you not know everything is finalized and all set until the day off as people are already on the fucking way?!?!?

Not that is my place because I didnt have intentions of going but I said it to someone else.. and I'll play devils advocate.

LRRS should be crediting people races for time and money lost, just saying

Even if I got refunded on hotel dinner... Id still be out $80 just in gas / toll money

Ah that's surprising to me, if true - and if "the guy" was the same guy who'd been speaking to us at riders' meetings about it. If so, he was actively engaged in sorting out what was what even about 10 days out from the event (he had questions about our reservation in particular).

I truly have nothing to gain by this but, you guys all bitch about the banquet every year and that it's a shit show. Why do you even bother anymore? Organize your own get together and be done with it.

I don't recall anyone bitching about the previous years. Could have just missed that though.
