Default 2 bike trailer to borrow for June

Thinking I want to bring two bikes up to Loudon in June and was debating on borrowing or buying a trailer for the purpose. Leaning towards borrowing right now as it seems registering is a pain in the ass. If anyone has something available for a few weeks in early-mid June. I am in the valley area so closer to there for pick-up/drop-off would be preferred.

Otherwise, if I were to pick up one of the Harbor Freight trailers, any recommendations on the 1200# vs. the 1800# load rated models?

harbor freight, get the one with the 12" tires.

or, rent from U-Haul, they have a good daily rental rate with the trailer with ramp. Tie down spots are plentiful, my buddies and I rent one when we trailer up to the mountains.

FYI if you go that route there should be a coupon in the latest HF flyer to pick up the 1800lb for $338.

I'm planning on getting one by the end of the month.

What's the date? And can you get it back asap?

I'll be moving in June so having it will be helpful but pending schedule I could lose a day or two.

Would want to pick it up Sunday the 11 and return it Monday 19. Planning on being up there most of the week.

I thought about renting a uhaul as well, but I would rather just put that money towards a purchase. A lot of this is just timing. Next two weekends are booked and then Memorial Day, so it does not leave any time to go to DMV and register a trailer really.

I got a HF 4x8 with 2 chocks you can borrow in Hamden.

I should be able to un-bury it by then.

I'll take whatever I can get. Hamden is probably a bit easier for me to get to and sounds like it wouldn't interfere enough with any plans. Let me know if/when you unburied it.

Ill prob be selling my trailer at the end of the week, i just need to figure some things out. I know it doesnt help to borrow, but ill prob only be asking about 300 for it. I bought it from Kurt a few years ago and put some work into it since then. Has hauled 2 bikes to the dragon and back and all that good stuff.

if you're tight on time and want to save yourself, don't buy the harbor freight one. Assembling it takes a little bit of time and if you're rushing already, you would wish you paid someone to do it. If you're going to buy, may make more sense to get one from tractor supply or home depot/lowes
