Just got to work and It's my Monday. I flipping love my schedule!

I work (am here) a min of 40 hrs per week. Tho this week alone i have 24 hrs OT. Last week i dropped over 24 hrs. The work and money is here but it's all about balance.. I rather live my life, have fun or just chill than be here 24/7.

Happy Holidays all

At least you get overtime....

I'm in one of those industries that's feast or famine. When crazy deadlines loom, you get it done and the hours be damned.

The not-inconsiderable tradeoff is that I still have a job when things are light. Sure would be nice to get paid for overtime, though.

He doesn't have to. No one in their life goes, "Yeah, I want to sell elevators!"

You wanna talk, captive customer. We dominate it, we build it, service it and there are 4 companies in the state. Legally, no one else can touch it.

In construction, I’m told weekly that we’re premadonas. I always answer, your right, we are, we’ve earned it and your TCO depends on us so you’ll do and pay what we tell you.

Leave at 6:45 every morning get home between 6 and 6:15 usually. Some Saturdays. Sunday if I have something pressing. Got six cars going to RM Sotheby’s in Arizona in a few weeks ( https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/A...y-boano/544897 My pride of the show. This car took me 400 hours done in 6 weeks so that was 75 hour weeks ) oh yeah and I’m expected to go with the cars out there. They’ll pay for the trip and 8 hours a day but that’s a week of basically being on the clock 24/7 getting paid 40. Gotta do what you gotta do especially when you’re going to have another really big responsibility coming soon

Salary employee - hours flanctuate. This time over the year over 65.
When it’s slow 40ish.

Real estate I only do for people I know or referrals I can trust. Can’t really put a time on that. This summer was very busy. This winter was slow as a job but I bought for myself so I was still busy.

I love both my jobs though so doesn’t feel much like hours matter.

What I hate is school. Going back to finish my degree was 2 classes that needed about 10 hours per week (sometimes less). That shit felt like I was putting in 100 hours.
