asked the same question on the 2T thread on NESR. How do YOU fill the tank on a 2T at a gas station?

Carry small bottles of oil for a 1-per-gallon dump in? or carry a larger mixing bottle?

Last year Tom D. let me use a 4oz Nalgene bottle. Works perfect where I could put just enough oil in for 2 gallons. Dump the oil into the tank, fill it with gas and give it a shake or 20. I've since bought 3 of them so you can always grab one of mine if you don't have anything sooner.

Thats essentially my plan. i run 50:1 which is 2.6oz per gallon, or 5.2 for 2 gallons. I'm thinking i'm going with a single 8oz bottle with a fill line for the correct 2 gal measurement, and a few 4 oz ones so i can have single gallon options if needed.

Is your tank see through? You could mark lines on the tank as well so you know about what you have left.

it is not. Solid black.

Considering getting a clear piece of tubing that i can shove down the hole, plug off with my thumb, and get an Estimate before filling? Will have to spend some trial and error time in the garage this weekend.

Why would you need an estimate before filling? At gas station I would add gas and based on the displayed amount pumped add the appropriate amount of oil.
