I've been eating a little dirtier and stopped cardio since the new job. At 226 - not as lean as a few months ago when I weighed the same, but strength is up along with size and fullness. Odd part is - I dropped another belt loop.

I ran 8.5 miles for the first time last night, and wanted to die afterwards.

Thanks! TBH, I did have to stop/walk a few times. Much worse performance than the twice I ran 8 miles in the last month. But still, longest distance to date for me.

Looks like everyone is making some good progress and/or getting back on the horse, keep it up!!!

In general any program for the first time you will make progress however I was pretty happy/impressed with the amount of progress I made on Ed Coans deadlift program in 10 weeks. Sitting at a 545 PR at the end of the 10 weeks and at this rate im thinking I should be able to get 6 plates before the end of the year....or at least that's the goal now. Squat is also jamming along and for that shooting for 5 plates by end of year, currently at 455. For some damn reason my bench has been shit lately, little to no progress. I haven't been focusing as much on it but think I need to rethink my current routine and start something new there. All in all though been very happy with progress in the gym along with focus and energy have been on point. Just need to start some type of cardio after my workouts which Im not really looking forward to lol

Been wanting a bike to compliment my skate training, but also having a wife that wanted a bike as well, we settled on a pair of dual-sport bikes. Both Trek and both the same model line, mine is a DS3 and hers is a Neko2. Happened to pick them up on a weekend where our local bike shop was having a model year end sale, so got both for about $150 off MSRP each.

It works out nicely. She rides just a little slower than I skate (about 14-16mph avg) and I can get mine to about 17.5mph avg (so far). They both have 700x38 on/off tires, so they're not screamers, they take a little to keep going.

We actually started last summer with walking. Our together workouts fall off during the winter, since she doesn't like the gym and we don't walk outside. I'm thinking about picking up a pair of bike trainers (maybe one standard and one set of rollers), so we can continue to ride together.
