Those two questions will have a large impact on what suggestions make the most sense.

Gotcha. Personally, for 7 nights per year, I don't think buying a second vehicle(truck) and an enclosed trailer would be worth it. A van, maybe, if you really wanted to sleep inside the vehicle. Or, just tent it.

Alternately, if you think you'd get other uses out of it, get a pickup truck and a popup camper.

Has it been fumigated?

Is it the subject of a BOLO?

Pop up campers take forever to set up correctly. There's a guy across from me right now in one. I was fully hooked up and sitting in a hammock 7 minutes after I parked my camper Sunday. He was out there at least an hour.

You can find small toy haulers for 5k if you look around and don't mind climbing a ladder to get into bed. Also as said, you can get many more uses out of them. We bought ours about this time last year. We will hit 20 nights on this trip and expect another 10 this season which we got a late start on due to moving.

If my wife would ever get out of the shower I could get off born and get back to exploring!

If they take forever, you're doing it wrong. In less than an hour, I set up, showed(and tested every feature) a buyer my parent's popup, and put it down. I used a popup for two seasons at the track, and used to have it unhooked and up in 15 minutes, max.
