Default 2005 vfr800 - $4000

Well, it's finally happening. The VFR is on the auction block.

Pics in the craigslist add:

https://newhaven.craigslist.org/mcy/...246072772.html

26,xxx miles. Valves were checked at a dealer by P.O. at 18k, all were in spec.

I have loved this bike for 3 years, but I just don't ride it anymore. It will come with everything you see in the pics.

Rigid industries led accessory lights.
Heated grips
Usb charging port
Xgrip phone holder
All electronics run through a distribution block with fuses and relays. Heated grips and lights have stand alone switches.
Rear shock from daughtery motor sports, sprung for a 220lb rider with preload options to load up with passenger and luggage. Also added compression and rebound adjustments.
Sergeant seat
Helibar hand bar risers
Throttlemeiser weighted bar ends (dampen motor vibrations) with a throttle lock/ "cruise control"
Stain tune exhaust (no other bike sounds like this)
OEM side cases
Givi 55l top case
Swmotech rack
Oem grab handles.
New front brake pads last year
New chain and sprockets 2 years ago
Pirelli Angel GT sport touring tires with TONS of life left.

I've used this bike to instruct "non-sportbike" track days and done 400 mile days and a 2000+ mile week with a passenger and full luggage. It is hands down the best bike I've ever owned.

$4000 no bullshit price. I have my eye on a few Enduro/DS options and want to make a move asap.

GLWS

I've been trying to sell my 07 VFR for a couple of months. That is a nice setup you got, though.

Unfortunately for you I was just a tad earlier with posting my '07 and probably stole your potential buyer.

Good luck with the sale.

I learned there are many limitations for 2 stroke dual sport, such as range limitation (unless you carry extra bottles of oil), engine might seize up at long high speed downhill, loud, and smelly.

That have been said, I learned all those after I got myself one.

it ends up too nice to get dirty.

i have no delusions of taking it on anything resembling a long ride. I can get to work in about 18 miles of all back roads. that would be about the extent of my needs.

plus potentially bringing it to an occasional track day, because seriously, a 2 stroke supermoto...
