But, if he had a huge down payment its possible that amount could have been for 2 points; although I believe its for 1 unless he advises otherwise. Plus since he was still carrying the other house at the time, the equity from that house, if any, was not available for the down payment.

Been a long time since I bought my house and obviously there is a new tax law. But, are points deductible anymore?

I doubt he paid anymore for his old place than $300k. And he had $600k in mortgages according to him. That leaves him with $300k. Still looks like 1 point.

Points are deductible depending on your situation.

Lenders normally don't push points anymore because it isn't part of their compensation, where as before it was.

Think flu season came on quick and heavy. My work sent out a notice today telling people to stay home if they’re sick or they’ll send you home.

Yeah. We are in the midst of that at work now too. Hoping it ends soon. I didn't have any symptoms really, then 2 absolutely miserable days.

Today is the 17th day from when I got the flu and im still sick, fever was gone after 5 days and symptoms have been lingering. Went to urgent care sunday to get xrays to check for pneumonia, luckily negative there. Now I have an upper respitoray infection and throat has been sore for past few days so going to my work doctor today to check for strep. 2018 has sucked ass so far and its been 17 days since I was in the gym last, im shrinking!!!!
