Ha I still have a long road ahead of me building clients and establish regular ordering. Even if I closed my fist bid today it would be at least 3 months before I’d see the income from it.

I’m still doing the body shop gig full time though until I start seeing some stable business

Ill be independent from others ie an employer or answering to anyone at the same time Ill be free to go and do as I wish. The goal was and still is to be able to operate from anywhere in the world from a laptop and cell phone. Most who are self employed are still tied down to a home office / retail store ect.

This is a first. I applied for a position which I received a phone interview with an internal recruiter rather quickly. At the same time another internal recruiter from same company reached out to me with a position she thought I may be interested. Had a phone internal with the hiring manager for this one. Passed both phone interviews and their scheduling department has me coming onsite for almost an entire day for back to back interviews for both positions. At least it includes lunch and its easier for me to get it all done in one day. Almost reminds me of the 14 hours of interview hell I went through many years ago at a large hedge fund in Westport.

Will have my super ass kissing lips on as I need to get rid of this commute.

So I ended having a sit-down with my grandfather a few weeks ago. From both ethical and professional reasons I wanted to get his blessing per se on starting off on my own. It was an entertaining and surprising conversation to say the least. Gotta love the guy first thing outta his mouth is "fuck no you're not gonna compete with me" lol. After talking and obvious ground rules he was more than happy, willing to give suggestions, and surprised I had already made some plans for the future with it. Anyway all systems are a go except I can't come up with a decent dam name lmao

At least my manger was nice enough to give me a couple of days warning before a training seminar Thursday night at 830. Man, I love being at work from 7 am to 10 pm.
