After lowering my wifes bike I realized the kickstand was to long. Finding somthing aftermarket seemed to be a pain in the ass. As easy as it was to do it myself i decided to post it for kicks.

It was ressurected by someone else so I think I'm pretty safe posting here. And I wasn't referring to his wife, just chicks in leathers as a general statement :slap:

I didn't find anything particularly inappropriate about the post, except for the lack of pics!:twofinger:

another thing to try is weld a nut into the gaping hole left after cutting off the foot, and a stud to the top of the kickstand foot so you can thread it into the nut in (with another nut on the stud to lock it in place. This gives you a completely adjustable kickstand. I'll take pics tomorrow if I remember :)

Doesn't matter, this is a how-to thread. Pertinent information is always useful.

I was gonna say... why did it take Jim this long to shorten the kickstand? She's had that bike forever...

Now I know...

Exactly why I put in my 2 cents. Some people don't want to permanently shorten a kick stand if they one day may want to raise their bike back up to stock height for whatever reason or to sell it and don't want to drop some coin on a new kick stand. That's why I made mine adjustable.
