    Default TTD's 1st. timer's advice..(From a Newbie)

    I did a Trackday on Tue's 9/30,
I haven't done one in years
& decided to attempt to get the MOST out of this last one,
    I believe i succeeded..........here's HOW!
    #1 Do the Trackwalk.......

I learned more from the trackwalk w/ 2 instructer's/racers, than ANY other activity hosted by TTD's

#2 Go to EVERY class inbetween your session's.........

At 1st. i was buggin out, cause i can't sit still & just wanted to ride....
    BIG mistake,
Don't look at the classes that way:
treat em as a FREE smoothness, speed & confidence builder seminar,
Once i began applying Jamie ,Tyler & Ken's, advice to the track,
i IMMEDIATLY got smoother, quicker & more confident in my cornering/braking application.

    #3 ASK QUESTIONS.....lot's of em,

i picked up a TON of pointer's just by doing soo. & it seemed as i had my OWN personal team of instructer's at times on the track,( 1 in ft. & one behind watching/filming me) as i feel they sensed my desire to improve & went into overdrive to help me achive that goal.

    #4 Enter the Raffle's..........
People we're walking away w/ $250.00 jacket's , trackdays etc: for the cost of a cheeseburger!!

    #5 Hangout w/Jane................
    she rides like the wind
    & smells good too:wub:.

Some say TTD's are a bit pricey,
but im almost SURE i would have NEVER gotten the same level of attention at any other trackday than Tony's.

Nothing feels better than having a TOTAL stranger come up to you after a trackday & tell you how smooth you looked out there.....makes all the work worth it!
Iv'e Out lived my expiration date...........

As another 1st timer, I couldnt agree more.

The trackwalk was a HUGE advantage. I got to walk with Grahm (AMAZING guy btw) and I feel the info I picked up on the walk was a HUGE plus. Just knowing where the hell you are supposed to be going on a track is a challenge when its your first time, that walk helped ease that tremendously. Actually putting down the tape where the tip in spots were made locating them that much easier.

The seminars were very valuable with tons of info that helped my overall performance.

I made sure after every single ride to talk to the instructors/control riders about improving. I am sure that I was "that guy" who was constantly nagging them with stupid questions but they were always helpfula and very willing to offer advice.

At one point one of the control riders singled Jay and I out while on the track and he led us on an ever increasing pace around a few laps. Holy shit was that fun! He really helped me push it a bit.

Glad I was able to get you around the track for the follow the leader sesson. It looked like you were going to tear up the track later on in the day.
