The Corsa III was discontinued for 2010, in favor of the Diablo Rosso Corsa(street biased) and Dragon Supercorsa Trackday PRO(track biased-very similar to the Dragon DOT tire). They're still around, and will be until they sell out. I had great luck with them, ran trackdays, commuter, highly aggressive street miles, etc, never had a problem that didn't result in an object puncturing them. Aside from running Bridgestones on my SV for half a season, and Bridgestones OEM tires on my R6 last year(takeoffs), all my experience is on Pirelli's, because they've never let me down and I've got great confidence in them(enough to sell them to racers).

Fact of the matter is, confidence is key with tires. If you've got something you're confident in, for street riding, you aren't going to overtax it's actually capabilities. If you're looking to try different things, do it. I'd go through 4 sets/year street riding, why not try some different stuff.

Also, when looking for feedback, make sure you judge the opinions based on who they come from. Someone who's got lots of miles in different situations on different tires is always a better bet than someone who read someone else's review.

except in the situation of where said review specifically tests tires back to back for direct comparison with actual results instead of high-mileage-guy that swaps tires every few months to limited brands and compares old-and-worn vs. new tires and just says "herp derp this tire owns." thanks for the passive aggressive attempt to discredit what i said, though.

I started with 2ct's on my trackbike and liked them as I was just starting off on the track. I then jumped to the trackday pro slick was a noticable difference in grip and confidence. On the MV I went from Corsa III's to Power Pures. I can honestly say that riding about 4000k miles on the street and doing a trackday on the Pures I am not a fan. The Pirellis just seem to be more sticky in every situation. I will be switching back the MV to Pirelli once I wear out the Power Pures(4 or 5 years at least Just my .2 cents.

Could it be that you tried different brands and made an intelligent decision as to what is best for you? nah, fucking fanboy.
