    Default Helmets...

So the rulebook says that helmets have to be DOT plus Snell M2005 or M2010, and that the appropriate stickers have to be attached. The back of my helmet has "DOT" and "SNELL" stickers, but that's all that's still there (I'm fairly certain I removed any other stickers (that would've specified M2005 perhaps) when I got the lid).

Do you think it will pass tech as is?

    could be a problem....

    Rule says.
"6.1.3 The helmet must meet DOT plus Snell M2005 or M2010 (USA) approval or the British
Blue Label standard BSI 6658 Type A helmet standard or the European ECE22-04 &

ECE22-05 P standard. The appropriate stickers must be attached."

    Does it say Snell 2000?

    got you.
have you looked inside the lining?

The current standards compliance sticker contains the certification and a unique Snell serial number for each individual helmet. In other words, your Snell number identifies your specific helmet. This label is adhered to the side of the interior EPS liner, as shown in the photo. Note that on Arai models with removable comfort liners the Snell sticker may be obscured until the liner is moved or removed.

At tech they have never looked at the stickers on the back of the helmet for me. They have always looked inside of the helmet under the liner. If you have the necessary markings under the lining then you should be set.

Same here, they have never checked the stickers because the tag inside has certifications as well as production dates which I know they DO check.

I hope they arent going to be anal about it this year or I am going to figure out how to put a DOT sticker on my custom painted helmet :/
