I'd like everyone's help with something.

I get a lot of PMs, IMs, phone calls, etc. about pricing for parts and such. Pricing for BoRn members usually includes some sort of discount, I try to give you guys the best price I can based on the item and what distributor I get it from. But(and you knew it was coming... ), that discount comes at a price. I typically need some time to get your pricing together, and I need a way to work on sourcing your parts from the distributor who will allow me to give you the best discount. The best way for this to happen, is for BoRn members to post up a new thread in the Dealer Feeler section with what they need, and the bike info. These posts serve as a virtual notepad for me, so I can refer back to it whenever I need. The Market Place forum is set to my homepage, many days I look at the Dealer Feeler section multiple times to respond to threads before I even read other posts on the forum.

I've had a few price requests through IM and such that I have dropped the ball on, I'm sorry to those affected, but if everyone could help me out and use the appropriate sub-section of the Market Place forum, it would help me cut out those requests that slip through the cracks. If for some reason there is some anomaly in the specific price I would give to you in particular, I will PM you privately with that information.

    Thanks guys!

PS- I haven't discussed this with Noel, but I would imagine he finds himself in similar situations as well, plus, with more and more members joining the site, as new dealer employees and such come on board, it gives them all a chance to respond, and thus gives you, the members, the best shot at getting the best price.

    Chase: Like a 99 GSX-R 600??

Mike, good post. Does all the chatter in the thread effect you? Once someone posts a price you could always lock the thread so it doesnt fill up with 2 pages of discussion as to wether the person really needs it?

I dunno, some people probably like the discussion just didn't know if that was effecting you looking through the forum section

Good suggestion. While I'm usually a contributor to the chatter, locking the thread is a great idea. Keeps the request and answer short and to the point. That way we (dealers) can keep things straight and know what has or has not been answered.

Hmmm...sometimes I like the chatter, it keeps the price and idea fresh, possibly sparking someone else's interest in the same item.

I guess locking the threads once the question is asked and answered is an idea, but one which may need some consideration.

You can also pin ones that get asked alot...

    Like tires and such..

That why they stay up top and people see them first.

If you guys where bored you could create some threads..

Like a frame slider thread, and put all the current suzuki models and the price of the frame slider and the rear spools in that thread, pin and lock it..

    Tires
    Fender elimnators
    pazzos
    windscreens
    sprockets

    etc...

    Just a thought.
    Ya you are
