    is it to change out a starter in an R6?

    A few hours?

    Hour and a half would be my guess.

    That's assuming the starter can be yanked off without dropping the engine out of the bike.

    shoot me a picture of what the starter looks like......ive probably taken one off the bike

    if its what i think it is it should be more than a few bolts and you are good to go

    From what I have found, I have to pull the tank, the air box, and the carbs....

    Then it's a quick swap.

    It a 2 beer job on my beer scale = about a hour if you know your way around a 1st Gen r6.

    If you were closer to me I'd give ya a hand.

    I cannot see this taking 2 hours at all. 1hr tops and thats with copious amounts of beer drinking in between. just bring it to the track Jane, I can help you with it at the classic or before TTD if you wont be there until then.
