    A 1000 is a lot more bike than a 750, I'd test ride one if you're seriously considering it. If you're trying to become a better rider stick with the 750, if you want to be able to pin it and be doing a 100 before you can look at the speedo get the 1000
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_CBR900RR says it's 150hp at the crank for the cbr 900.

    your probably comparing cbr crank hp with 750 wheel hp.
