Sooooooooo I went down there.. and holy hell is New Haven sketchy.

I pull up to a used car dealership and as I park on the sidewalk (which I never do), I see a pickup truck and this dude jumped out with some motorcycle club and "prospect" strewn across it.

Having just watched all of the Sons of Anarchy episodes on Netflix, and having all of the shit they made the prospects do fresh on my mind, there was no way in hell I was staying there. I shouldn't have gone on the gixxah, but I wanted to get there quicker lol.

Even after cruising around the block, I never actually saw the bike anywhere. Who knows, maybe the chick had it in the back or some shit? Apparently the used car dealer is storing it, but it was going to be a private sale. Add that in with the whole title situation and it just wasn't worth it.

Chris-- I don't believe we've met, but come ride on Saturday.

You saved yourself a whole bunch of hassle. The title being filled out but not registered is a GIANT pain in the ass in CT. (And given the situation you rolled up on, I'd say that would have been the least of your problems.)

If a person has a title signed over to them but never registered the bike then they need to fill out a Q1 Supplemental Assignment of Ownership and/or Bill of Sale when they sell it to you. This is the only way they will accept the title and allow you to reg the bike. It is basically a bill of sale that is a different color.

Pretty sure that requires notary, which is where the pain in the ass happens because most people won't be bothered to do that for you.
