    It helps you to break down your riding and shows where you can make up time, if you compare it to others.

    The Q6000 also gives you real-time data to see your lap times, that the BT1000 does not have.

    You don't need to bring a computer to the track and can get lap times as you are doing them. That was huge for me. I don't want to be toting around a laptop to and from the track.

    Accuracy is a funny thing for GPS. Speed, 0.2 mph, time, a matter of nano-seconds, absolute position, +/- 9 feet, but absolute position isn't what matters (which would be placing yourself on a google map). It's relative position, the accuracy between each data point, which is very high. You can see line changes when you pass, or blow a turn, etc.
    Thanks! I have a friend that might be interested and he was asking about the effectiveness of the GPS portion for the reasons you know/are aware of.
