Just cleaned it up and got it running.

I GoPro'd the first cold start in ~2 years for anyone that's seriously interested in it. This is probably one of the more reliable bikes in our garage, and it fired right up once I remembered it's not FI and that there's a choke.

The video also includes me being oblivious to the bad float bowl gaskets and gas spilling all over the place lol.

So new gaskets have been ordered, and I'll go out and grab some new pictures.

    edit -

I guess I should also note this is a KZ650 SR, not a standard KZ. The difference is the shape of the seat and tail section, the shape of the gas tank, and a 16" rear wheel. From what I remember, the SR stood for "Stateside Replica" and was suppose to have more a chopper look to it. Stock (and when I bought this), it had big stupid handlebars with the signals hung on them, but I replaced them with lower bars and move the signals to the typical headlight/fork mount location.

It's not a perfect show bike or anything like that.. it's 35 years old. BUT, it is very solid and the parts that are on it should not need much (if any) work done to them for whatever you want to do with it.

Sometime in the future there is a possibility that I will have a bone stock-heated garage kept-mint condition H-2 parked in my garage. I won't bastardized it into some sort of custom, and neither should the new owner of this one. You did a great job restoring that old girl! GLWS!
