Overall an awesome race. Super bummed for Rossi. Terrible to think a mechanical could cost him a championship. He definitely was in contention for a W today.

    What a fight from Iannone.

Amazing last lap from the two aliens left riding.

I like Iannone less with every race. Poor Pedro. Fantastic race.

2 races in a row with great racing and we now have a 3 way battle again for first. Couldn't ask for more.

I'm actually kinda bummed for him... you know there's no malicious intent, but clearly he suffers from poor judgement or something. It seems he just out rides himself and his equipment & gets a little too ambitious in the wrong moments. It hasn't been up until last year that he's ever been consistently within contention of a win on a machine with serious potential and I imagine that having the top of the podium almost within your grasp as consistently as he does now can have an affect on your judgement... But he should have settled in by now...

I think he'll learn and I HOPE he learns soon. He strikes me as a very talented, honest, hard and (usually) clean rider that's willing to take some risk. And when you put all of that together with a rider like Andrea, it makes for exciting races.... He just takes TOO much risk sometimes.

If he can pull his head outta his arse it'll be great to see him near the front with the rest of the aliens.

I'm sincerely hoping that this incident with Lorenzo will be the kick in the nuts that he needs.

I agree with everything you have stated. I had hoped he would have learned when he took out his teammate but let's see if he has learned anything this time.

I read a comment from Torpedo Joe (superbikeplanet.com) where he said he wasn't actually planning on attempting a pass on Lorenzo at that corner, but he made it sound like he realized too late that Lorenzo was going slower than he was, hence the reason for plowing into him.

I felt it was a decent race and I like that Rossi won.

yeah I don't think he was going for a pass either... I think he flat out missed his marker or something.

he claims the data shows he did nothing different then he did any other lap. lorenzo was simply way too slow. not so sure
