Just saw the times from yesterday on Crash.net and Vinales has been looking good. I wonder what his race simulation times are...

Anyone getting on that hype train?

I'm excited that the electronics and tyres appear to be leveling out the field. Or maybe we haven't seen the best of honda/yamaha yet.

Honda is struggling the most because of the drop off in their electronics package. I was really hoping for Dani to have a good healthy and competitive year but I don't that is going to be the case.

If Suzuki and Ducati can keep this up we'll be in for a great year of competitive racing.

Indeed. As amazing as some of the races were last year (Phillip Island in particular), watching the usual suspects week after week gets old after awhile. Would really like to see Suzuki do well.

I'd also like to see Dani do better and give the soap opera stars a run for their money. Health issues buried him last year but after his arm surgery he really rose to the occasion.
Kwicherbichen. I'm old and I'm slow and I don't care. Get off my lawn, ya punk.

The behavior of the big 3 last year vs the way Dani behaved really made me a big fan of his. I'd love to see him win a championship before the window closes. That said I would mind seeing either Suzuki or Ducati make a serious run at at. Having 4 manufactures compete any given week sure beats watching the same 1 or 2 guys win every race.

I'm also surprised how well satellite riders are doing... my understanding is they are not always given the same components. So I'm excited that for the competition across and within manufacturers.

And can we talk winglets? They are awful. I can see people getting tangled up in them.

I'm thinking about experimenting with winglets. Coming out of T12 I can feel the front end on the SV coming up off the ground just like friggn Scott James does on his R6. Bastid!
