    If you're asking because you've already got a 1-7/8" ball or a 2-5/16" ball, do yourself a favor and spend the $20 on a convertible one. I've got the Curt one and it's honestly one of the best things I've bought when it comes to towing. I don't have to ask the annoying question anymore when picking up someone else's trailer.

    Nope, I'm cheap. And for $10, it can live under the back seat of my truck until the next time I have to tow something with a 2" ball.

    Quite possible... But I also tow a man's trailer. And while I'm sure it's perfect with your little girly trailer, I don't exactly trust it.
