I'd guess a pair of new Supercorsas would last you an entire season, based on racers using those same sizes on somewhat comparable bikes.

One TD, Full day of practice + 2.16 races, and my 120 front and 150 rear look brand new.

I hear you on buying tires.

After being "that guy" who cheaped out on tires for years I have come to the following conclusion.

It isn't so much about what other riders have been able to accomplish with lesser quality tires. Having good rubber is more about increasing the amount of available traction you have. Having more traction available at any given moment will grant you a increased safety margin if something unsuspected were to occur. Whether it is you getting tired towards the end of a session, the rider you are trying to pass making an unpredictable move which forces you to act, or some other unforeseen circumstance presents itself. Race tires might wear faster and will cost more, but there is an evident trade-off between risk and $$.

    Ie...getting old sucks.

Here's why you want some sticky tires. So you can do dumb things like me and make it out OK.

    Don't do this at home

Hey, I sold him the stainless steel brake lines for the Ninja, he just didn't want to use them, lol.

And I know I said it before, but glad to see you get back on the horse Gabe.

If I can find a set of supercorsa take offs in my size I'd be willing to give Pirelli a chance...

Given the cost of a new set of SCs I think it's a bit too big of a commitment to transition without knowing if I'll like the softer carcass. I've gotten used to/like the feedback the stiffer sidewall Bridgestone's have. The problem is their odd ball sizes just aren't available in the U.S. market. All of the 110/140 sizes are available only in Europe (maybe because of their tiered licensing encouraging smaller bikes?)

I switched from the S20s to SuperCorsa but sold the bike immediately after mounting them. So my post is useless and no help other than I made the exact same switch.
