    Long version.

    Saturday Practice - I knocked off a 1.26

Surprised the hell out of me. I came into the weekend expecting to do 1.30's and maybe if I was lucky a 1.27. After four lowsides in racing and trackdays last year, with absolutely no forward progress, I thought I was stuck in a rut. Could barely keep my amateur times last year, so was not expecting much out of a typically cold April weekend. Luckily this weekend was warmer than usual and allowed a much cleaner start to the year for LRRS than I have seen in the past two years. Seems like a lot of people were able to break barriers this weekend for some reason. Looks to be a good season!

Saturday Race 2 - Amateur GTL - Got a PB of 1.24.9. Last five laps were 1.25's.

Finished 4th out of 11, got flipped off by an expert .
Was not a good off the line start, but I did get a good run through 1 on the inside, 1a on the outside, and 2 on the inside. This allowed me to get out of turn four in fifth spot. I was so happy to not be running in the back of the pack, I pushed real hard to keep up with the leaders. Managed to do this for the first few laps and actually got into fourth at that point.
Got stuffed by two experts in turn 12 around lap 6 or 7 and lost my 4th place spot to Stephanie Miskell, dagnabit. Kept up for a little while, but then the rest of the experts started to come through and she started to get away.
Got blocked in turn three and flipped off in turn four by an expert for some reason, might have been that brake light?
Eventually tracked down and passed a tired Dan Pletea for my fourth spot. Apparently the three weeks in the gym may have helped a little with my conditioning as I was not "overly" tired. The fist 6 laps were all 1.26's and 1.27's. The remaining laps were all 1.25's or lower. WTF!!! I could barely manage my 1.27's last year.

Saturday Race 7 - Amateur Lightwieght Grand Prix - Stalled the start, didn't get run over (there was no one behind me). Got four spots back.

Not much more to report than above. Was a lonely race from the back, but felt good to be able to get some spots back. Finished 7th of 11. No idea what my first lap was, but I was 16 seconds off the leader at the end.

Saturday Race 9 - Amateur Ultralight Superbike - Beat my boy #318, and got another new PB of 1.24.6.

Finished 7th of 13. First four laps were in the 1.30's due to traffic I could not push myself around. Eventually I worked my way through three riders and started to track my boy down. He tired out on lap four and I shot by him in turn 10-11, woohoo! He has a more powerful bike than mine, so when I took him, I knew it was due to fatigue. After that though, I knocked out four 1.25's to finish out the race. Just realized the new PB was actually in the LWGP race, not this one.

Overall, a great weekend to energize myself and show I actually have something to pull from. Where the hell did all these times come from i ask myself because I was not even expecting to do amateur times this weekend, lol. Don't know, but looking forward to better myself even more going on.

Also, thanks to all the corner workers and competitors. It felt like a pretty "uneventful" weekend for the most part, and it seemed most of us manged to come out the gate swinging pretty hard while keeping it safe.(exceptions, of course) Seems like the 300 series could be pretty exciting this year with the KTM contingency, and the other 300's digging even deeper and finding more speed.
