    Default Harbor Freight generators?

Anyone have any experience with Harbor Freight generators?

This thing is less than half the price of the Honda 3000w (which it is clearly trying to copy). But, inexpensive isn't always a good value, I recognize that.

Alternately, does anyone have any other suggestions for a 3000w or greater generator that balances economy, reliability and quietness?

I have had a 4500w one for years. Always starts, relatively quiet, and was half the price. Does 240v too so i can hook it up to my house if/when needed. I recommend

Pretty impressive. HF has really stepped up their game over the past year. Couple welding sites I’m on have good reviews of new tig machine.

I've seen/heard the same thing. I have been seriously considering their Vulcan 215.

Good to hear a first hand review. Amy and I will probably end up with the 3500 mike shared this spring to extend the camping season and open more options. There are a few people on camping sites that swear by them.

If anyone sees that 3500w inverter on sale, by all means let me know.

There are a few guys on the WERA forum using the 3500w Predator and so far are happy with it. Big question will be long term reliability, and no way to gauge that yet. On the flip side I've got a Westinghouse 2400w inverter that so far is working for me, curious to see how it holds up over time as well.

Yes same here also. I have been looking for a small inverter unit to have around.
