    borrow a tow behind dethatcher for a tractor or spend 89 bucks on one and have someone assemble it for ya :P

    my gates are two small so i have a self propelled mower.
    but for $100 thats not bad at all

    Yes thatching and/or airrating isn't raking its ripping up the old clutter and dead grass

    If its too thick it blocks water and fertilizer from getting to the roots.

    I recommend you also buy clover and the clover inoculation and let the clover be green and fertilize itself. and it feeds the bees
