Default JDay Sprint Enduro: Southwick 5/12

So, my previously committed JDay partner is currently experiencing some mechanical issues.

Being my first off road racing type event, I don't want to go alone.

Anyone have any interest in participating in this event?

Registration isn't even open yet, not sure when it will be. There is a yearly license required, but i'm pretty sure event reg is cheap. it's probably <$100 for your first event with license, every one after that is <$50.

I'm licensed as a class C (novice) 250 not that that matters, everyone kinda does their own thing and i'l be figuring it out as we go!

Nice. I just spent a little while watching this:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wBcYIkJ5GE

This guy cut all 3 tries, for all 3 segments, in to 1 video. MX and extreme tests go by quickly, like <4 minutes. Trail section is much longer, but it doesn't look particularly difficult, just narrow and lots of switch backs at times.

Worst thing I have been told about the j day's is the amount of people. Apparently not uncommon to wait an hour or so in gear waiting to go. Basically a warrior dash on bikes

This is the sprint enduro, not GP. i've heard the GP's get crazy. I guess it could be the same kind of crowd but i've not heard that.

Either way, I would like to do this. Or one of these. I need more practice for sure

I haven’t decided yet but I might enter this one. It’s a good course for someone’s first sprint enduro, IMO, but if you are planning to enter, based on recent Southwick attendance rates for Jdays, I’d advise signing up early and arriving early.

I'm trying to register, the site says it's not turned on yet. I emailed yesterday to see if I'm just missing something
