think i read gates open at 6am ... i'm prob aiming for 8am arrival as well ... where did you see times for riders meeting and C class start?

your strategy looks good, i did something similar for my last one except i tried one of each test to get a feel for the day. the lines may dictate where you go if you don't want to cool off too much in between tests.

the sweet thing about the Sprints is they're very freeform overall. def way more low key than lining up on the gate for a traditional moto.

tech is a breeze, roll under a tent, roll out ... just have your bike in order, stickers on (they will give you paper ones for bike + helmet) and transponder secured (which they will help you with at signup)

Not that Iíve found so far. The TTR seems like a bastard Yamaha. But everyone says you canít kill them

As far as which section when, if it’s dry out, that removes one factor...the extreme sections can become MUCH more difficult during a time slot if they are degrading/getting more slippery due to mud and ruts. At southwick, the mx track and woods will definitely become more rough with use but I’m not sure about the extreme section.

I’ve heard stories of people not finishing all their required sprints due to both taking too much rest time, and lines being too long to get them all in...hopefully the lines thing has been rectified with planning and schedule, but resist the temptation to take more breaks than you really need.

I did chuckle when I saw Kyle list the mx track for warm up...maybe it will be for you, if you are doing CrossFit and stuff...for me, it’ll warm me to the point of my tongue draggin on the ground after a lap or two, especially if it is rough. Shouldn’t be too bad for us early in the day though. The experts in the afternoon get it rougher AND run more sprints.

You guys should be fine if you get to the track at 8. My house is nearby if anyone gets dinged up or needs special tools or anything.

Probably because nobody actually rides them. Kinda like the intro beginner street bikes like the Ninja 250. They are reliable because they never accumulate enough miles or hours to become unreliable.

    Oh boy lol

I have never even put wheels on an MX track, never mind the legendary sand of southwick...

    Maybe i'll re-evaluate.

i just figured more wide open, throttle and brakes type stuff rather than trees and singletrack... hmm

hahaa, don't sweat it just remember, momentum is your friend in the sand, keep your eyes up and look past the ruts. you might not even touch your brakes, throttle off = going nowhere.

No worries, itís a good plan you made. Seriously if youíve been getting a lot of cardio thatís a big advantage. I personally just wanna ride the woods sections and the track, if I finish all my sections I will be happy. The woods section at southwick can get pretty moto-ey too. Most of it is not super tight if itís the same terrain theyíve been running...its flowey but will get whooped rutted and rooty. Or maybe it still is.
