    Pretty standard in certain areas. When you ride tight single track, lots of obstacles and tough hill climbs often, boiling over gets old.

    Don't be too concerned about boiling over though, it just tells you that your bike is as hot as you'd want it. On a long hare scramble, it'd be nice not having to stop and let bike cool down after tough sections.

    Add a coolant resi, let it push some out when hot, and pull it back in when cold. I also found with my 300 that without a resi, 'full' when cold had the coolant just barely visible, just below the level of the core when looking in the fill spigot. If you 'fill' the system, it'll push coolant well before 'boiling over' just due to normal expansion.

    Yep. I'm pretty sure the manual calls for the level just to the fins in the radiator. I think everyone screws that up the first time.

    I use one of these on my YZ (no real fan options), I'm actually thinking about removing it though. Downside to the coolant resi, is that it won't be obvious when your bike starts to get too warm. When riding tough trails, instead of seeing a tell-tale boil over and a massive cloud of coolant smoke as it hits the expansion chamber, you'll have little warning until the engine starts to rev surf or knock. Fan = Avoid all of the above with an easy install and a few extra ounces of weight.

    Your resi should be vented, and you should get the steam from the vent still?

    Day 1 down. Worked great. No issues. New carb is pretty amazing, totally linear power.
